Kirby

Kirby is a pink ball with stub-like limbs created by Nintendo and HAL Laboratories as a method to introduce new gamers into the world of video games. Originally, when Kirby was created in 1992 for the GameBoy game "Kirby's Dreamland" there was a debate about whether Kirby should be pink, desired by Masahiro Sakurai, or yellow, desired by Shigeru Miyamoto. Ultimately they decided to go with pink, however the color wasn't decided in time for the release of "Kirby's Dreamland", so on the boxart and commercials for said game Kirby was left as black, grey, and white.
