Sculpting is the method of creating three-dimensional art. Being one of the "plastic arts", sculpting originally used the method of carving and shaping metal, stone, ceramics, and wood. During the modern era, however, almost any material can be used to create sculptures. Other methods of scultping that have been invented during the modern era includes, molding, melding, and casting.
